Look at the careful wording, annual number of death by drug. I think it is assumed to mean overdose. Technically, it's not wrong to say 0 deaths by weed because they are not listing drug-related deaths, but you can see the bias. I wonder if the other drug numbers are from OD or related as well?

Ever heard of a confirmation bias, Roy S? I believe you suffer from it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Effects_of_cannabis That may show you the exaggerations of some your sources. Also your cannabis death sources are totally unreliable and have no data supporting them. Needless to say, you're full of shit :p

Correction & some interesting facts about weed smoking in India, FYI:

Hemp was legal in India till the late 80s. But following others' footsteps, they made it illegal.

Now only the Sadhus (monks) are allowed to carry small quantities for personal consumption.

But weed, hashish and other hemp products are openly smoked in many areas where cops either don't prefer to intervene, or are bribed to excuse those places. Most of these areas surprisingly are Shiva temples, Sai Baba temples, Islamic Dargahs and other spiritual places of worship.

Hemp has a cultural bonding in India since thousands of years. The Chillum (smoking pipe) resides in many old paintings and anthropological material. Saints like Sai Baba, Gajanan Maharaj and many others smoked marijuana-filled chillums regularly.

There is a museum of Chillums in Shirdi (Sai Baba's tomb) and many photographs & stories about the saint and his chillum. Gajanan Maharaj is another saint who's picture is worshiped by non-smokers in which he's shown smoking a Chillum.

The best hashish in the world is grown in Manali in Northern India, but most of those farms are owned by international mafia. The top quality Hash and Charas are smuggled to other countries.

There is still a drug called 'Bhaang', legal & commercially available for Rs.2 (0.043USD) per hit, which contains small amounts of THC, but gives a mind boggling high for many hours. It is not smoked, but ingested as a tablet or inside a paan (betelnut leaf appetizer).

Recently rave parties were busted in India and blood samples were taken from all revelers. The amount of THC found in each person determined what law should go against them.

Many of my friends & I have cute mugshots in the police department for smoking marijuana and spreading peace!

Ironic but true.

Please check your sources. In Chile is not decriminalized, in fact, possession is categorized as microtraffic (unless you prove otherwise) and you can get as much as 5 years and 1 day of jail just for carrying it in your pocket.

VIVA CHILE MIERDA!!!!!!!
