Michael Jackson died with only six months left in the decade. Within the last year his estate has made over 1 billion dollars.

thats 2/3 of what elvis presley estate made in the 33 years since he died.

I dont think anybody is gonna be ahead of MJ from now on for a long long time.

I agree with mandyjames, I think MJ has not said his last word, metaphorically speaking.
Funny, most living people don't make as much money as these folks. Respect.
About whether it's fine - celebrities' assets are in their appearance and behaviour. That's what they'd been building during their careers. I'd say if my family can make money by renting out my house or selling my car after I die, perhaps it's the same with the appearances of celebrities.

I think its fine to use celebrities images, as long as they pay the proper royalties. I just think it is eerie what they can do with computers these days.

I was wondering about this the other day when I saw an ad with David Spade and Chris Farley.. I was kind of surprised they were using Farley to sell Direct TV (I think), but my friend suggested that his family probably got the revenues - makes sense, I guess. Do you think its wrong to use dead people to sell things?
